Car Care is very important, car care is insurance for your investment.

Car washes are usually either touchless or cloth friction wash. A touchless carwash uses high pressure water jets and very strong chemicals to clean the car. The water and chemicals do the actually cleaning of the car exterior.

Cloth friction washes use a mild detergent and very soft cloth that is moved against the car exterior. The soft cloth and mild detergent, do the actually cleaning of the car exterior.

7 Flags Carwash gives you the best of both. High pressure water for cleaning those hard to reach areas like wheels and grill work, a very soft cloth and mild foaming detergents that clean, lubricate and polish the car finish.

The carwashes applications are controlled by state of the art car care computer system, designed and developed specifically for the car wash industry.

Driving the car on to the conveyor track, there is a device called a correlator. this is simply a series of wheels or rollers that allow the wheel of the car to slide sideways until it is aligned with the conveyor. Use our over head mirror to assist you as you drive on. Once in position,

This is the correlator, the system two sets of long rollers. They allow the wheels to slide sideways for conveyor alignment.

The computer will sense the car is in position, turned off the car, placed it in neutral and take your foot off the break. Our conveyor system has small rollers that pop up behind the wheel once a car is on the conveyor. The roller pushes the wheel forward, causing the car to roll along through the full service car wash tunnel, which is the term used to describe the long bay used for our full service carwash systems. 7 Flags Car Wash conveyor systems use a Rear-wheel push, (RWP), a roller engages the rear left wheel and pushes the car slowly through the carwash. Enjoy the ride.

The car wash has a large overhead mirror assist you when entering the carwash area.

Once the car enters the tunnel, it passes through an infrared beam between two sensors, called eyes.

The eye on one side emits infrared light that is picked up by the eye on the other side.

As soon as the beam is broken, the eyes send a signal to the computer. The computer tracks the car and runs the automated portion of the car wash. By measuring the amount of time that the beam is broken, the computer determines the length of the vehicle and adjusts all operations accordingly.

Wheels only

7 Flags Car Wash uses 3 high-pressure washer systems, the wheel cleaning system uses rotating water jets that spray concentrated streams of water onto left and right wheels, both front and read. The nozzles of each water jet are typically arranged like a pinwheel, with each nozzle angled slightly away from the center.

The nozzles of the water jets work like a pinwheel.

The force of the water shooting from the nozzles causes the water jet to spin rapidly. This means that the stream of water moves in a circular pattern as it hits the wheels. The strength of the stream and the circular motion combine to provide a powerful scrubbing action to help remove break dust. The force of the water is incredible, our systems are rated at 800 pounds per square inch (psi), enough to easily knock a person off his or her feet or break dust off your wheels! The wheel cleaning system is controlled by the computer as the car is digitally tracked. These powerful spinning water jets are reserved for the wheels only. They remove most of the CTA solution and break dust from your wheels.

Presoak

Immediately after the eyes, the car washes left and right Chemical Tire Applicator, (CTA) are active. They apply a cleaning solution to tires and wheels. Next is the pre-soak arch. This is an arch that contains several small nozzles that spray a special solution over the entire car. This solution does a couple of things:

  • Wets the car before Applying any detergents
  • It begin loosening the dirt on the car

Wrap #1

You can see the presoak arch and tire applicators.

Next are wrap-a-round brushes left and right. These are tall soft cloth brushes that rotate as they follow the contour of the car, cleaning the front, sides and rear of the car. These brushes are leading edge car care technology, their touch is auto sensing and digitally controlled.

Curtain #1

Now In the car wash, the car then passes through a mitter curtain. This is a series of long, soft strips of cloth that hang from a frame near the top of the tunnel. The frame is connected to a motorized shaft that moves the frame up and down in a circular pattern. This makes the cloth strips rub back and forth across the horizontal surfaces of the car.

The mitter curtain cleans the hood, roof and trunk of the car by swishing back and forth over the surface.

Foamers

The next item in our car wash is the foam applicator. The foam applicator applies a detergent to the car, making a deep cleaning foam on contact. The nozzles on the foam applicator, as well as most other spray systems in a car wash, can be adjusted to change the angle of the spray and the size of the opening. The foam is created by mixing “Blue Corral’s detergent cleaner, with water and air. There are separate adjustment controls for determining the exact mix of the three components delivering the maximum in car care.

Wrap #2

Next are a second set of wrap-a-round brushes left and right. Rotating and following the contour of the car, cleaning the front, sides and rear of the car. These brushes use the same leading edge car care technology, as first set of wrap a rounds. Their touch is also auto sensing and digitally controlled.

Top Blast

Now a front top and rear high-pressure washer with an oscillating set of water jets, spraying concentrated streams of water on the front, top and rear of the car. As the car travels past these digitally controlled oscillating water jets, they actually follow and track the car. An extremely effective way of removing bird droppings and other things that may not unobserved on the top an SUV or van.

Clear Coat Pro

Now As the car continues through the carwash tunnel, it arrives at the tri color clear coat protectant applicators. Six brightly colored foam generators apply a luxurious multi colored car care foam bath of Blue Corral’s Clear Coat Protectant. This car care product conditions protects the cars clear coat finish extending its life.

Second Mitter Curtain and Wheel Blast

In the car wash, the car then passes through the second mitter curtain, another series of long, soft strips of cloth that hang vertical from a frame near the top of the tunnel. The frame is connected to a motorized shaft that moves the frame with a side to side motion. This makes the cloth strips move sideways across the horizontal surfaces of the car.

Rinse

As the car wash moves the car past the second mitter curtain, clean water and a sealer wax is applied is applied to remove whatever residue is left after the high-pressure washer, wrap a rounds and mitter curtain have done their respective jobs. The sealer wax applied along with the rinse this seals in the clear coat protectant and makes the water bead in preparation for the final rinse.

Final Rinse

Now nearing the end of the car wash tunnel, the car passes under a rain arch which delivers the Final Rinse water evenly over the entire car. The final rinse or “Spot Free Water” is not ordinary water. 7 Flags Car Wash manufactures its final rinse water onsite using a Reverse Osmosis processing plant. The Reverse Osmosis process removes 99.9% of all suspended solids from the water. This is the same process used to desalinate salt water for drinking. The final rinse water leaves no spots.

Blow Dry

As the car exits the carwash tunnel, any water remaining is blown off the car using two over head and four side high volume air blowers
